Therefore Herodias had a quarrel against him, and would havekilled him; but she could not:

And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into thecountry of the Gadarenes.

And he went out from thence, and came into his own country;and his disciples follow him.

Then came together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of thescribes, which came from Jerusalem.

In those days the multitude being very great, and havingnothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples unto him, and saithunto them,

And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there besome of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death,till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

And he arose from thence, and cometh into the coasts of Judaeaby the farther side of Jordan: and the people resort unto himagain; and, as he was wont, he taught them again.

And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage andBethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of hisdisciples,

And he began to speak unto them by parables. A certain manplanted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and digged aplace for the winefat, and built a tower, and let it out tohusbandmen, and went into a far country.

And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saithunto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildingsare here!

After two days was the feast of the passover, and ofunleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes soughthow they might take him by craft, and put him to death.

And straightway in the morning the chief priests held aconsultation with the elders and scribes and the wholecouncil, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and deliveredhim to Pilate.

And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary themother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, thatthey might come and anoint him.
